One of the best parts of staying with us is having locals on hand who actually know the Whitsundays — not just the highlights, but the little details that make a trip memorable. Whether you’ve planned every day or prefer to see where the mood takes you, we’re always happy to help you make the most of your stay. The Reef & Islands — For Good Reason, They’re Famous The Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands are what bring most people here — and they never disappoint. Snorkeling, diving, sailing, scenic flights or a day on iconic Whitehaven Beach… there’s no shortage of ways to experience them. Not sure which tour suits you best? We can help you choose the right option based on how long you’re here, who you’re travelling with, and how adventurous (or relaxed) you’re feeling. Explore Beyond the Water There’s plenty to enjoy without leaving the mainland too. Boathaven Beach is just a short stroll around 200 meters away. With its man-made shoreline and stinger enclosure, it’s a safe, easy spot to cool off, relax, and enjoy the marina views. Waterfalls & Walking Trails like Cedar Creek Falls or the tracks through Conway National Park offer a beautiful change of pace, especially after rain or in the cooler parts of the day. Food, Coffee & Sundowners — from relaxed cafés to waterfront dinners and lively bars, we’re always happy to point you toward our favourite places (and let you know which ones are worth booking ahead). Recommendations That Fit You Travelling with kids? Planning something romantic? Chasing adventure or a slower pace? We tailor our suggestions to suit you — whether that’s island hopping, wildlife encounters, scenic drives or simply finding the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Getting Around Made Simple If you’re unsure about transport, car hire, shuttles or transfers, just ask. We’ll help you work out the easiest way to get where you want to go, without the stress. Ask a Local - our team are here to help you make the most of your time in the region. For personalised recommendations or help booking tours and experiences, you’re always welcome to reach out. Our team are happy to share local tips and help you plan days you’ll actually enjoy — not just tick off. Talk to a local. We’ll help you experience the Whitsundays the way it’s meant to be.
The most rewarding thing of all is that the people of the Whitsundays have taken the Lagoon to their heart as much as tourists and visitors. The lagoon is surrounded by grassy knolls, perfect for a spot of sunbathing, or finding a quiet spot in the shade to read a book. The sandy beach area at one end provides a safe stinger free environment for the children to play in the shallows and the lagoon is surrounded by landscaped gardens for added aesthetic appeal. A children's pool is situated at one end.
Featuring marina berths, waterfront land, marina view apartments, holiday accommodation, dining, retail and a maritime passenger terminal, Port of Airlie is ideally located with views over the stunning Whitsunday Islands.
